Priority Consideration Deadlines
Some graduate programs at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa have set priority consideration deadlines in addition to application deadlines. Applicants are advised to contact the intended graduate program for the priority dates. In many cases, graduate programs make offers of financial support well in advance of application deadlines. Funding is limited and often awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to the most qualified applicants.
Application Deadlines
Deadlines vary for each graduate program. Applicants who apply after the application deadlines MUST consult with the intended graduate program before submitting an application. Application fees are non-refundable.
Email Notifications
Applicants who do not receive an email within 30 days of submitting their application should contact Graduate Division Student Services. Emails will be sent to the email address provided on your application.
Admissions Decision
Admissions recommendations are made by the graduate program to Graduate Division. Graduate Division completes the final review and issues the final admissions decision. Most applicants should receive news concerning the decision on their application for Fall admission by late March/early April, and for Spring admission by November/December. The timeframe may vary depending on when the graduate program reviews and makes the recommendation to Graduate Division. The time to decision may also vary based on completeness of the application.
Admission may not be postponed or deferred. A newly admitted student must register during the semester of admission. Failure to register will result in the abandonment of admission status and the cancellation of registration at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. No refunds are granted.
