PBU students are governed by Graduate Division academic policies. However, they are exempt from policies involving academic progress and degree requirements. A PBU student who subsequently decides to become a degree-seeking graduate student at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa needs to apply for graduate admission by following the standard admissions procedures for prospective students. Admission as a PBU student does not guarantee subsequent admission as a degree-seeking graduate student. A PBU student who subsequently becomes admitted to a graduate degree program may apply PBU credits toward graduate degree requirements, subject to certain limitations. See Credit Policies > Transfer & PBU Credits.
