Transcripts

The Office of the Registrar provides official transcripts bearing the UH Mānoa seal, the signature of the University Registrar, and is printed on security paper to protect against unauthorized duplication and alteration. The official transcript includes all courses taken at UH Mānoa, units, grades, grade-point average (GPA) and UH Mānoa earned degrees. We do not provide transcripts for other UH System campuses.

The Office of the Registrar does not produce unofficial transcripts. Current students may view and print their unofficial academic record in STAR via MyUH in the Transcripts Menu.

Please keep in mind that if there is a financial obligation hold on your account your request will not be processed. Please resolve these and any holds prior to making a transcript request.

Transcript Methods and Fees

Students have the option to request a regular or rush request. Once the request is received by our office regular requests take up to 5 business days to be processed while rush requests take up to 2 business day to be processed. If you are requesting to have your transcript mailed additional time for mail delivery should be considered. Transcripts requested to be mailed are sent via the U.S. Postal Service. Transcripts sent to a UH Mānoa address are sent via campus mail.

Transcript Ordering Through National Student Clearinghouse

Official transcripts can be ordered online through the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • Credit Card payment is required
  • Attachments can be included with your online request
  • A $2.25 processing fee will be added in addition to the cost of the transcript(s)
    • Orders sent to the same recipient are charged a single processing fee
    • Orders sent to multiple recipients are charged a processing fee for each separate recipient
  • You may select to have the official transcript mailed to you or a recipient or to be picked up at the Office of the Registrar
  • No Electronic Transcripts are available at this time.

Transcript Ordering In-Person or Mail-In

Please complete the Transcript Order Form (PDF) to request an official transcript in-person or to mail-in your request. We do not accept faxed or emailed requests, as payment is required.

Note: You may make a cash payment for in-person requests. However, please go to the Cashier’s Office to pay and submit your request (QLC, Room 105, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)

Mail-In Requests:
Please mail your Transcript Order Form with payment ( check or money order) to the address below. Checks may be made out to “University of Hawai‘i”.

Additional Transcript Information

  • Transcripts requested to be mailed will be sent through U.S. Postal Service. Please allow sufficient time for mail delivery.
  • Transcripts sent to UH Mānoa addresses are sent via campus mail.
  • All transcripts released directly to you are stamped “Issued to Student” to advise third parties that the transcript has been in your personal possession. These transcripts are considered official as they bear the UH Mānoa seal.
  • HOLD FOR GRADES transcripts are normally sent out within two weeks of semester grades being posted.
  • HOLD FOR DEGREE transcripts are processed once degrees have been awarded, generally 8-10 weeks after commencement.
  • In order for a third party to pick up your transcript, you must provide the person with written, signed authorization. The person will be required to show your written authorization and his or her photo ID at the time of pick up.
  • The University is not responsible for undeliverable transcripts or transcripts not picked up within 30 days of being processed.
