Individual Development Plan (IDP)
IDPs provide a planning process that identifies both professional development needs and career objectives, and serve as a communication tool between faculty advisors and graduate students/postdocs. An IDP template is provided below. Graduate students and postdocs should update their IDPs annually in consultation with their faculty mentor(s). Each graduate student will meet with the Graduate Chair annually to review their IDPs, usually during the summer.
