Tropical Medicine PhD Student Selected for Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research Award

The Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research program has named Tropical Medicine PhD student Yukie Lloyd Sato as the recipient of one of their 2016 awards.  Yukie will receive $1000 to support her research on malaria immunity in Cameroon.

Sigma Xi is the international honor society of science and engineering, and is one of the oldest and largest scientific organizations in the world.  The Grants-in Aid program awards grants of up to $1000 to students from all areas of the sciences and engineering.  Only 15% of applicants to this highly competitive program receive any level of funding.  The next grant application deadline for the Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research program is October 15, 2016.
