Registration is now open for the 16th Aloha Pediatric Infectious Diseases Conference, to be held Saturday, Nov. 23, from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children in the Diamond Head Tower Auditorium. There is also an option to attend via Zoom. This annual educational event highlights current topics of interest for those caring for pediatric patients. Keynote speaker is David Kimberlin, MD, codirector, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Kimberlin will speak about “Recent Developments in the Detection and Management of Congenital Cytomegalovirus Infections.” Other topics include congenital syphilis, toxoplasmosis, tuberculosis in Hawai‘i and TORCH infections. There is no registration fee because of the generous sponsorship by the Harry C. & Nee Chang C. Wong Foundation.
