Musical Theater is a class structured in a workshop setting. The students receive training in the art of performing this unique theatrical form broadly called “Musical Theatre”. The importance of the music and the actor meshing is explored throughout the semester. The first part of the class trains students in the art of auditioning. Correct literature for varied situations and individual voice types are studied and evaluated. A dance audition component is also included. The second part of the class consists of scene work that will eventually be performed in an evening concert.
