If you observe suspicious behavior, do no physically engage the suspect or suspects involved in criminal activity. Stay at a safe distance, note suspect’s description and report suspicious behavior as soon as possible by calling 911 or 808-956-6911.
Observe and be prepared to describe the suspect or suspects based on the following characteristics:
Physical description
- Height
- Weight
- Approximate age
- Eye color
- Hair color
- Complexion
- Mannerisms
- Scars/tattoos
- Facial hair
Clothing
- Hat
- Glasses
- Shirt type and color
- Pants/shorts type and color
- Footwear
- Other distinctive design identifiers on clothing (logos, etc.)
- Also look for layers under the outside, visible layer
Direction of travel (by foot or vehicle)
Vehicle
- Make
- Model
- Color
- Year
- Body style (two-door, four-door, convertible, truck, etc.)
- Other distinguishing features (spoiler, racing stripes, tinting, damage)
- License plate number
