On Saturday, March 28, 2026, a motorcycle and a moped were reported stolen from the Hale Aloha Lokelani bike rack at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. On Sunday, March 29, 2026, an additional moped was reported stolen from Zone 12 outside of the Bachman Annexes. These incidents are under investigation by the Honolulu Police Department.

Please notify the UH Mānoa Department of Public Safety (DPS) at (808) 956-6911 or the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) at 911 if you have any information regarding this incident.

DPS recommends:

• Do not leave keys in or near your vehicle, or attach a spare key to the vehicle.
• When possible, park in well-lighted areas.
• Do not tag your keys with your address or license plate number.
• Use a solid steel lock with a heavy chain that cannot easily be cut or removed from your moped and attach to an immovable object.
• Register your moped with the City & County of Honolulu and UH Commuter Services.  
• Don’t park your vehicle, bike or moped in the same location every time, or leave it unattended for days at a time – thieves notice patterns.
