Learn how to write, think, and communicate like a professional. The curriculum supports academic writing, critical thinking, and professional skills that apply to future Honors research and professional pursuits. This facilitated experiential learning process includes the study of “learning how to learn well” (Educational Psychology and learning styles theory) and is based on rich “outside of the classroom” engagement activities such as research, internships, clinical volunteering, and service, either past, current, or related to the Honors Research topic. Students make a podcast as part of a team, create a Lesson Plan to teach about a topic in the major or related area that the student is passionate about, and can link the final essay to a possible Honors Research topic.
