The Minority Health Research Training (MHRT) program provides directed reading coursework and research projects focused on global health, tropical medicine, infectious diseases and community-based participatory research for undergraduate and graduate students from underrepresented groups. It is a 2-semester (Spring and Summer) program where students will have coursework to learn about the 8 basic steps of research during the Spring semester. During the Summer, students have the opportunity to travel nationally/internationally to conduct research (conditional) for 40 hrs/week with their mentor. MHRT students will also receive roughly $1,000/month for 3 months while participating in the program.

If you are interested, please visit our website for more information and fill out the application by November 1.
