The 2023 Maui wildfires were devastating for the people, animals, and environment of the Valley Isle. Meeting the destruction across these domains, many local, national, and international efforts from a diversity of actors in a One Health fashion. This talk will focus on the burn patients in a shelter medicine context, effected large animal operations, ecological effects downstream from the fires, and the coordination of response efforts from state, federal, private, and non-governmental organization actors.
