Aloha!

Lyon Arboretum is part of the University of Hawaiʻi and a public botanical garden. We are nestled in the back of Mānoa Valley, just five miles from the bustle of Waikiki. Lyon Arboretum has over seven miles of hiking trails and boasts more than 6,000 taxa of tropical and sub-tropical plants on our nearly 200 acres.

We are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 am until 3 pm. We are closed on weekends and state- and federal holidays.

Reservations are required. Make your reservation on Eventbrite at the link below.

Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. The suggested donation amount is $10 per person.

Community Classes

March and April Classes – Last chance to sign up for Arboreal Adventures at the Arboretum and Mindful Yoga and Hike. We just added our first April Class, hosted by the Garden Club of Honolulu.

Spring Nature Camp:

We are fully booked for our Spring Sprouts Nature Camp! The next camp will be our Summer Nature Day Camp. More information will be forthcoming as summer approaches.

School Field Trips:

We are fully booked for K12 school tours for the 2023-2024 school year and will not be accepting any new bookings for school tours. Requests CAN be made for summer. School tour requests for SY2024-2025 will open at the end of July. Mahalo!
