Student Work Positions
We are excited to announce two open student positions with our Native Forest Restoration Project! Students currently enrolled in the University of Hawaiʻi system, including community colleges, are encouraged to apply.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in native forest restoration while working alongside our dedicated team.
- Grounds Department (Job #1880)
- Assist with invasive species removal, site preparation, outplanting, and monitoring in restoration areas.
- Horticulture Department (Job #128445)
- Work in our greenhouse learning native seed collection, propagation, and plant care.
Both positions offer valuable field and nursery experience supporting the restoration of Hawaiʻi’s native forest

OTHER INTERNSHIPS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Some interns are placed through programs such as the Institute for Sustainability and Resilience at UH Mānoa. Check with your program to see if there is a way to work or do service for credit at Lyon. Mahalo!
