Private Events/Facility Rentals

We apologize but we are no longer offering our facilities for private events.

Photography and Videography

Due to limited time and resources we can only consider very limited commercial and non-news filming and photography.

Commercial and non-news filming and photography MUST receive University of Hawaiʻi approval prior to the event. Requests should be submitted at least one month prior to requested date of filming. University of Hawaiʻi fees begin at $2,500 per site/day, not including application fees. Fees cannot be waived.

Information about the Arboretum for your photo/video shoot

• Parking : The Arboretum has a limited number of parking spaces onsite. Event participants should be prepared to carpool or arrange van or bus transportation, and may only use parking spaces reserved specifically for the event.
• Inclement Weather and Mosquito Advisory: The Arboretum receives an average of 165” of rainfall annually, one of the highest areas of precipitation on O’ahu (this is why it is so beautiful!). We cannot guarantee favorable weather conditions for an event or shoot. It is advised that photographers/videographers prepare a contingency plan for rain, wind and mosquitoes.
