Internships
SUMMER 2025
We are happy to announce the summer internship opportunities for 2025!
There are two programs to choose from:
Lyon Summer Internship Program
June 3rd – August 8th
Interns will work with one department of their choice but will get a chance to rotate as a cohort to visit and learn from the other departments at the Arboretum.
Positions are available in the Education, Grounds, Horticulture Departments, and the Hawaiian Rare Plant Program’s Micropropagation Lab

Lyon Trails Internship
May 27th – August 14th
Learn to build and improve the trails found at the Arboretum, along with learning how to identify and remove invasive species, outplant, and create curatorial tags and signage, among other activities.

Upon successful completion of the activities, interns will receive a monetary award for both programs.
OTHER INTERNSHIPS
Lyon Arboretum hosts internship opportunities with various departments in the summer but may have other opportunities during the year.
