Help is needed to oversee the development and management of the living plant collection records and data. Applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree in Botany, Geography, Natural Resources Management, or related field and 3 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for database-related work; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.

Student Work Positions
Landscape Maintenance Help (Job #1880-A3)
The Grounds Department is looking for a UH System student to work with the crew and maintain the Arboretum plants and collections.
Required – Good attitude, dependable, caring, conscientious, thorough, able to get along well with people, self-motivating but follows instructions well, must like physical outdoor work. Takes pride in being a steward of nature. Able to learn to differentiate between good plants and weeds. Able to use (after instruction) lawn mowers, weed-eaters, chainsaws, hedge trimmers. Able to negotiate steep terrain under wet, slippery conditions. Able to supervise small groups of students or volunteers.
