What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than with a Begonia Box?

We will be selling a special Mother’s Day gift box of 5 begonias for $50! Portions of the proceeds gathered from this sale will go toward our greenhouse renovations. The gift box will include some small decorative elements. Everyone who purchases a Begonia box will be entered into a contest to win a flowering Hoya lacunosa hanging basket (valued at $25).

How to Purchase

We will have a limited number of 25 boxes.

Pick-up Instructions

Drive-through pickup will be scheduled from 1-2 pm and from 2-3 pm on Saturday, May 9th. Lyon staff will confirm order and load boxes into vehicle trunks or back seats while wearing masks and gloves. We ask that customers do not leave their vehicles.

What is in the Mother’s Day Gift Box

Begonia variety boxes will include a total of 5 plants: 1 plant each of B. maculata ‘Wightii’ (polka dot angel wing), B. sizemorea (hairy green & black leaves, pictured with flower), B. ‘Little Brother Montgomery’ (starburst-shaped white and reddish-green leaves), and 2 surprise Begonia that could include B. bowerae (small green and black leaves), B. rex ‘His Majesty’, B. ‘Dragon Wing’, B. epipsula, B. thelmae, or B. serratipella. Plants will vary in size but all will be in the 3-4″ pot size. Not all plants will be flowering but we will try to have a least one flowering plant per box.

Plant Care

Begonias can be kept indoors or in a shady and wet section of your yard. Our staff grow them under LED lights indoors, watering approx. 1-2 x week, and they do great!
