Aloha Rainbow Warriors!
We are here to help make your UH Mānoa education more attainable by providing programs to bridge the gap between the cost of attending UH Mānoa and your family’s own resources.
What the One Big Beautiful Bill Act Means for Our Students
On July 4, 2025, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law, a major budget package that will change federal student aid. We created a page dedicated to helping our students and campus community understand the key changes, which you can find here: Federal Financial Aid Changes.
2026-2027 FAFSA is now available
FAFSA Simplification
For most students there will be less than half of the questions than on prior FAFSAs. A direct data share from the IRS to the FAFSA has been implemented to simplify the student and parent experience.
Contributors
A contributor is anyone who is required to provide information and consent on the FAFSA. This includes the student and depending on the student’s situation, may also include a parent, parent’s spouse, or student’s spouse.
StudentAid.gov Account requirement
All contributors must have their own StudentAid.gov Account to complete their section of the FAFSA. If you have not already, create your account now.
Housing Status
The housing question will not be displayed on the FAFSA and this is how our office will determine your cost of attendance.
