Experience
Sarah Rice has over 15 years of experience in marketing, event planning, teaching, federal compliance, business ownership, and public relations. Sarah is responsible for all communication and community outreach on behalf of UH Mānoa Department of Public Safety, and is the University’s Clery compliance coordinator. She is the first person in the State of Hawaiʻi to obtain her Clery Compliance Officer certification through the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers & Professionals. In 2019, she was the recipient of Top Cop Hawaiʻi’s Elwood J. McGuire award, which recognizes “significant contribution” in the fields of law enforcement, emergency management, private security, or criminal justice. In 2020, UH Mānoa received the national Clery Compliance Program of the Year award from National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals.
