Aloha+ Dashboard Lab Pilot Program

Spring 2023 internship opportunity for Aloha+ Dashboard Lab Pilot Program. Hybrid-statewide program to provide students with meaningful workforce training on sustainable development policy and data, and project management. Six unpaid internship positions are available for January–May 2023. Selected participants will work closely with the Dashboard Lab Coordinator dedicating approximately 10–20 hours/week. Applications due December 20 at 11:59 p.m. HST.

AAUW Honolulu Undergraduate & Graduate Academic Scholarships

The American Association of University Women Honolulu’s founding principle was to promote “the higher ideals of education among women”. In support of that mandate, AAUW Honolulu offered over $52,000 in scholarships to deserving women students in higher education for the 2022-2023 academic year. Applications are now open for the 2023-2024 school year. Deadlines vary between January 2 and February 15, 2023 depending on the application.

L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Fellowship

The L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Fellowship awards 5 women postdoctoral scientists with grants of $60,000/year for their contributions in STEM fields and commitment to serving as role models for younger generations. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to apply. The application deadline is January 27, 2023.

National Marine Fisheries Service-Sea Grant Joint Fellowship

The NMFS-Sea Grant Joint Fellowship provides Ph.D. candidates with a $58,333 annual award for up to three years. The program includes two award categories: Population and Ecosystem Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics. Students who are planning to submit an application must meet with Hawaiʻi Sea Grant before the application deadline of January 25, 2023. UROP Opportunities

Presentation Funding for Undergraduate Students ($2000–$5000)

UROP coordinates and promotes research and creative work opportunities for UHM undergraduate students in all disciplines. UROP invites students who are conducting or have conducted faculty-mentored research or creative work to submit a proposal for Presentation Funding, which provides funds to present their project or perform at a local, national, or international conference/event, in-person or virtually.
