Recruiting Student Participants for Economic Experiments
Researchers study economic decision-making in a computer lab on campus or online. Earn money just for showing up on time, then earn more based on your decisions during the experiment! Participants make individual or group choices, which determine their payoffs. These experiments are fun and educational, and no prior knowledge of economics is required! Duration: 1 to 3 hours. All experiments have been approved by the Human Studies Program. To participate, register at: https://manoa.hawaii.edu/econexp/. Have you got what it takes to be a Media Leader?
The Student Media Board (SMB), is recruiting for leadership positions in UH Productions General Manager, and Ka Leo Editor in Chief for the 2022–2023 academic year. Applicants must be available for a minimum of two (2) hours per day and a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week and must be able to demonstrate leadership with program-related content and function. Laura Bassi Scholarship: Winter 2022
The Laura Bassi Scholarship was established by Editing Press in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study. Scholarships are open to every discipline with amounts varying by level and ranging between $500 – $2,500. Application deadline for Winter 2022 is November 25, 2022.
Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program
The Department of Energy’s Office (DOE) of Science Graduate Student Research Program is accepting applications from Ph.D. students in qualified fields. Support is provided for students to conduct part of their graduate research at a DOE national laboratory/facility in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist for 3 to 12 months. Benefits include a living stipend and inbound and outbound transportation. Deadline to apply is November 9, 2022.
UH System Common Scholarship Application Open
The University of Hawaiʻi System Common Scholarship Application is now available online for the upcoming academic year. Students attending any University of Hawaiʻi campus are encouraged to apply in order to be considered for system and campus scholarships. Information and application can be found at www.hawaii.edu/scholarships. You will need your UH email address in order to log into the scholarship application. UROP Opportunities
Presentation Funding for Undergraduate Students ($2000–$5000)
UROP coordinates and promotes research and creative work opportunities for UHM undergraduate students in all disciplines. UROP invites students who are conducting or have conducted faculty-mentored research or creative work to submit a proposal for Presentation Funding, which provides funds to present their project or perform at a local, national, or international conference/event, in-person or virtually.
