Spring: April 19, 2024
All required documents must be submitted by this date.

The 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) uses your family’s 2021 calendar year income to determine your financial aid eligibility. Sometimes the information you provided may no longer accurately reflect your financial situation. If you or your family’s finances have changed since 2021 as reported on your 2023-2024 FAFSA, you can request to have your federal aid eligibility reevaluated by submitting a Financial Aid Appeal Form.

If your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is $0, you have already been offered the maximum amount of federal student aid. Do not request an appeal if your EFC is $0.

Students selected for verification must complete the verification review process with ProVerifier before any professional judgement requests can be finalized.

Please be advised that the approval of an appeal and subsequent FAFSA changes do not guarantee a change in your eligibility or additional financial aid awards.

Conditions That May Be Considered:

  • Change in employment/reduction in income
  • Divorce/separation
  • Death of a spouse
  • Unusual medical expenses
  • One-time taxable payments/distribution
