Biographical Narrative
Joonyoung Cho is originally from Daegu, South Korea. He came to the United States in 2014 and received a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health from Washington University in St. Louis in 2016. He then earned a PhD in social work and psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2024. His research interests include aging in place, social relations, and productive aging. Throughout his studies, he has collaborated with several community organizations that help older adults to achieve aging in place. In his free time, he likes to run and spend time in nature.
