Scoring
All proposals meeting eligibility criteria will be considered for review by a team consisting of UROP staff and Undergraduate Research Opportunities Council (UROC) members.
Proposals will be scored based on the criteria in the rubric below. Each category will be given a score (0.0-4.0). A score of “0” in any category will result in automatic rejection. A final score for each proposal will be calculated by dividing the score given for each category by the maximum (4), multiplying by the weight factor, and summing across categories.
Example:
Project Description score = 3/4 = .75*10% = 7.5%;
Recruitment & Mentoring Plan score = 2/4 = 0.50*35% = 17.5%;
Etc.;
7.5% + 17.5% + etc. = Final score (out of 100%)
