The president of the University of Hawaiʻi provides leadership for UH’s 10-campus system including UH Mānoa, the flagship research university.
As CEO of UH Mānoa, the president focuses on building increased awareness of UH Mānoa as a global leading research institution that works to solve society’s problems, generates new opportunities that benefit society and serves as an economic driver for the state.
The president’s current agenda includes a focus on helping more Hawaiʻi residents earn college credentials and developing an innovation sector to strengthen the state’s economy while creating high-quality jobs. He is also advancing UH’s commitments to sustainability and becoming a model indigenous-serving university.
