Academic Progress
Overview
Academic progress is measured by GPA as well as progress toward the completion of degree or certificate is requirements. Academic probation and dismissal may occur for students not in good academic standing.
Probation and Dismissal (5.520)
Graduate students are to maintain good academic standing throughout their academic journey. For those students who are determined to not be maintaining good academic standing based on grades and / or a lack of appropriate academic progress, probation and then dismissal actions may be taken.
Time Allowed for Completion of Degree (5.511)
Graduate degrees at UH Manoa should be completed in a timely manner where appropriate progress toward degree completion is made in each semester.
