The Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health’s Continuing Education and Professional Development intends to achieve preeminence in social work continuing education and professional development through state, national, and international educational activities that advance skills, increase knowledge, and perpetuate competence with special attention on Native Hawaiian, other Pacific Islander, and Asian populations. We work to provide a variety of offerings that meet the needs of both new and experienced social workers and other allied health professionals.
CEPD is an important element of Thompson School’s mission of providing educational excellence with a focus on social justice. This is done through the generation, transmission, and application of knowledge for the global enterprise with special attention to Native Hawaiian, and other Pacific Islander, and Asian populations in the State of Hawaiʻi and Pacific Region.
