Department of Social Work Accreditation

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

The Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health Department of Social Work’s Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Social Work Education. The council is the national accrediting body for professional schools of social work.

The Department of Social Work’s BSW and MSW programs have each received a full eight-year reaccreditation from the Council on Social Work Education in July 2018. In addition, the bachelor’s program received approval for an inaugural undergraduate distance education option effective in the 2018 fall semester.’
