Special Events Request Form

UH affiliate special event parking arrangements are evaluated according to individual needs on a case-by-case basis and are scheduled based on available resources. Non-UH affiliates are charged for all services, including but not limited to manpower, equipment, administrative, and other resources used. Non-UH affiliates must present an approved UH Facilities Use Agreement or respective Campus Center, Student Housing, or Athletics Facilities Use Agreement.

Special Events parking requests are required for 10 or more passes. Requests for less than 10 passes should be submitted through your department’s parking coordinator. Your parking coordinator may purchase coupon codes for hourly or all day parking in the Zone 20 structure or in green visitor stalls.

Requests for Special Events parking must be made 14 days in advance to avoid additional fees. If a request is made less than 14 days prior to the event date, a late fee of up to 25% (based on a sliding scale) will be added as follows:

7-10 10% or $10, whichever is greater
4-6 15% or $15, whichever is greater
0-3 25% or $25, whichever is greater

Requests that may require additional contracted manpower will not be accommodated from three days before the event.

Requests that may require Honolulu Police Department manpower will not be accommodated from six days before the event.

A change/cancellation fee of up to 50% based on a sliding scale will be added to all events that change/cancel less than 14 calendar days prior to the date of the event, as follows:

Requests cancelling additional contracted manpower within 24 hours of the event will be assessed a two-hour minimum charge per post.

  • UH and non-UH affiliates, $10
HPD All direct costs +10% administrative fee

There may be times where external organizations
may charge fees for services.
These costs will be passed along to the event requestor.

*In addition to the flat rate parking fee, other fees may be charged for related items including, but not limited to, manpower and equipment.

University departments and organizations should use the online form to request for Special Event parking at least two weeks prior to the event start date. Along with the flat rate parking fee, additional fees may be charged for related items including, but not limited to, manpower and equipment.
