Every semester, MAC students are notified via email of their Mandatory Advising requirement and options. Periodically, additional emails are sent as reminders. There are also holds placed which include links to updated lists of options. Please search your @hawaii.edu email for “macadv@hawaii.edu Mandatory Advising” to find your Mandatory Advising emails, and check your STAR account to view your holds.

NOTE:  MAC uses “registration holds” for Mandatory Advising.  Registration holds prevent changes to registration at UH Mānoa only.  Our holds do not prevent students from:

• Ordering transcripts
• Using the Warrior Recreation Center
• Using their meal plans
• Registering at other UH System campuses
