Graduate Assistantships Available at University of Hawai’i Music Department

The Music Department at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa announces the availability of graduate assistantships for qualified students entering graduate degree programs in Music. UH-Mānoa offers programs that accommodate a wide range of specializations within the field of music and affords access to the highest levels of study and training. All programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and supported by a vibrant faculty actively engaged in teaching, research, performance, and composition.

GA-ship duties are assigned by the Music Department Chair and may include classroom teaching, ensemble instruction, assisting professors with course grading, and other duties.

UH-Mānoa offers master’s degrees in music education, ethnomusicology, musicology, composition, vocal and instrumental performance, and doctoral degrees in the areas of music education, ethnomusicology, musicology, and composition. The deadline to apply for graduate study in music beginning in fall 2018 is January 15, 2018. The deadline for applying for GA-ship is February 1, 2018.
