Kenny Endo joins Bamboo & Cherry Blossoms Kenny Endo joins Boston-based trio Bamboo & Cherry Blossoms in a performance of newly choreographed works for Japanese dance - taiko - koto - shakuhachi. Michiko Kurata dances in the style of nihonbuyo, with live music by Japanese and American composers for taiko percussion, koto (Claudia Erland) and shakuhachi (Chris Molina). Dr. Momoro Ono has taught in the music department at Creighton University since 2008. He teaches applied & class piano as well as Music Appreciation. Dr. Ono holds the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Adele Marcus as a recipient of the William Petschek Piano Scholarship. Duo Yumeno: Composition Area Residency – Concert 1

The first of two performances by Duo Yumeno, this concert will include new works by UH Composition faculty. American pianist Matthew McCright has performed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific as piano soloist and chamber musician.
