The Maui 4-H Tech Event took place this year on Sunday, November 4, 2018. The event was hosted by the Lucky Clovers (youngers) club. Youth learned about techology-based careers on Maui, circuits and electricity, and rockets! Mahalo again to Maui Makers, Maui High Performance Computing Center volunteers, and Maui Economic Development Board, Inc. for their support!

2018 Spooktacular
Thank you for attending this year’s Maui Spooktacular, it was a blast! A BIG MAHALO to those who hosted a trunk. We had a total of 12 trunks! We started the night decorating mini pumpkins then the costume contest. There were so many awesome costumes! We then played games, had yummy food and drinks, danced to Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha Slide and Baby Shark. But I think they most enjoyed the Trunk o Treat! Of course they did…..all that candy!

Approximately 85 members of 4-H clubs participated in the Maui Fair parade this year! The Maui County Youth Officers led the group, carrying the Maui 4-H Organization banner. Club members wore their club uniforms and some carried their own club banners as well. Our youngest members, Cloverbuds, joined in the fun as well. The group waved to the crowd and had a great time interacting with each other and the public. Looking forward to next year already!

The Charmers 4-H Cloverbuds held a Halloween themed meeting on October 21st at Mrs. Yap’s home. We welcomed new member Rhegan and her mom Rita to our club. Lexie, with the assistance of Mom Krystle and Grandma Kathy, led an activity project of carving pumpkins. All the girls cut, cleaned and carved a pumpkin. Some girls used a stencil pattern to create their design while others drew freehand, traditional jack-o-lantern faces. They all came out great! The Maui Wailani Diamonds 4-H Club held their second meeting on September 23rd, 2017 at the CTAHR Extension Service Building on UH Maui Campus. The Diamonds reported and commented on Officer Training Class on August 27th at Maui Electric Building. The girls learned how to conduct and plan for a meeting. They also played a blindfold game, where they practiced team building and trust. The club is planning and organizing a 4-H county fashion review.
