Current 4-H guidelines require clubs to practice social distancing and not meet in groups of more than 2 people, which makes it very challenging to keep members engaged in their projects. Click on the graphic to the right for suggestions for transitioning to virtual meetings and information on ways to connect to allow youth to complete projects and/or clubs to meet.
The key is shorter meetings with project work between meetings. A communications plan needs to be in place for youth or parents with questions. Based on feedback, Maui clubs are looking for activities for the non-livestock project areas below. Each box has simple activities that could be completed following the steps in the graphic.
