The Hawaii 4-H program is looking for youth in grades 5-12 to participate in a Virtual Cooking Challenge in the state. Youth do not need to be a current 4-H member to participate in the contest. There is no cost to participate in the contest.
Youth will learn about plant and soil science, agricultural technology, careers in agriculture, and how to code sensors for monitoring crops in the field or garden.
Congratulations to East Hawaii 4-H Agent Becky Settlage who won the 2021 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Extension.
This year’s show was limited to 4-H members, their families, and livestock industry leaders. The event was a small gathering outdoors.
The Livestock 101 Day Camp is designed for first timers, age 9-18 who have an interest in exploring the 4-H Livestock Program.
