UH Contemporary Music Ensemble – Works of Donald Reid Womack

Hawaii 5-oh!: Donald Reid Womack at 50
The UH Contemporary Music Ensemble presents a musical celebration in honor of longtime UH composition faculty Donald Reid Womack’s 50th birthday. Student performers will be joined on stage by guest artists Sean Yung-Hsiang Wang (violin), Soo Yeon Lyuh (haegeum), I-Bei Lin (cello), and Jonathan Korth (piano). The all-Womack program includes works for Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Western instruments:
Breaking Heaven for shakuhachi, cello and koto
Splashed Ink for violin and guzheng
fff for cello and piano
Sori for haegeum cello and janggu
An Infinite Moment for violin and piano
