Resonance is a modern reinterpretation of the Korean folk ritual, Gut. It is planned as a special tribute to the Korean immigrant community in Hawaiʻi. Professor Chulsoo Kim of Gwangwoon University in Korea, and Hyunho Lee, Instructor of the Namhaean Byulsin Gut Preservation Society, will be the two main performers.
Resonance showcases a unique ensemble of electronic instruments, piano, janggu, jing, and sori within the framework of avant-garde cross-cultural music.
