Ryan Blauvelt

Graduate Assistant


Ryan Blauvelt (b. 1991) was raised in Northern Indiana and graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (currently Purdue University Fort Wayne) with a Bachelor of Science in Music and an Outside Field of Music Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance. He received a Masters of Music Composition at Butler University under the tutelage of Michael Schelle and Frank Felice. Ryan is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in music composition the University of Hawaii, Manoa, while studying with Dr. Donald Womack and Dr. Thomas Osborne. He has also had the fortunate opportunity of working with a number of renowned composers including David Maslanka, Akira Kobayashi, Rica Narimoto, and Christopher Young through various master classes.
