Peter Meyer

Graduate Assistant

Peter Meyer is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Musicology at UH Mānoa, and he also holds degrees from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, as well as the Jamey Aebersold jazz studies program at the University of Louisville. Peter has spent the last 10 years working in a variety of areas within the music industry. He has extensive experience traveling and performing on cruise ships, repairing musical instruments, and teaching students in multiple settings. His principal instrument is the double bass, and for the last few years, he has led the bass section of the Louisville Civic Orchestra, as well as performing in a jazz setting with musicians like Jamey Aebersold, Rufus Reid, and John LaBarbera.
