Anna Womack

Lecturer in Music, Viola


A member of the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra since 1994, Anna Womack has been teaching viola and violin for over 30 years. Her students have placed in the Hawaii State Music Competitions and have been invited to perform at international concerts in Europe and Asia. In addition to operating her private studio, she is instructor of viola at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa and a member of the Galliard String Quartet, an ensemble with Chamber Music Hawaii. Anna is also a core member of Pacific International Concert Artists (PICA) and performs regularly with the Lutheran Church of Honolulu’s Bach Chamber Orchestra and the UH Faculty String Quartet. An advocate of new music, she has premiered many new works, including several by her husband, composer Donald Reid Womack. Outside of music, Anna enjoys tennis and hiking in her spare time.
