COPYRIGHT NOTICE: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S.C.) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than in private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order, if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
The due date is set by the lending library and the loan length may vary between 4 to 16 weeks. The due date is found on the orange ILL book band and also can be viewed on your library My Account.
Renewals are given at the lending library’s discretion. ILL loans cannot be renewed online. Email libill@hawaii.edu to request a renewal or phone us at 808-956-8568.
Fines begin at $110, which includes a $100 deposit towards the lending library’s charge and our library’s $10 non-refundable processing fee. If the lending library charges more than $100, you are required to pay the difference. If less, you receive a refund for the difference.
