Leah Moore

Lecturer in Music, Voice


Soprano Leah Moore is originally from Maysville, Kentucky and she completed her undergraduate degree in Church Music from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. She recently graduated from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa with a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance. During her degree, she served as Graduate Assistant for the UH Choirs and taught Class Voice. She has performed with the UH Opera Workshop as Vitellia in La clemenza di Tito, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, and Giulietta in The Tales of Hoffmann, and she has performed with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival as Lucinda in Sondheim’s Into the Woods and in multiple concerts on Hawai’i Island. She is a member of Hawai’i Opera Theatre’s Mae Z. Orvis Studio and the Hawai’i Opera Theatre chorus, and in 2017, she was a winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters Hawai’i Division vocal competition. She continues to teach Class Voice for UH as a lecturer in the voice area.
