Overview:

Yonsei University is a private university located in Seoul. The main campus is located in Sinchon, a vibrant area full of music, fashion, and culture for university aged students. It is one of the three most prestigious universities in South Korea, those known as SKY universities. It has over 29,000 students and around 900 exchange students per year. In addition to gaining academic excellence, exchange students are also exposed to a beautiful and culturally rich environment and can share special memories and experience Korean culture by participating in various Yonsei clubs and activities for international students. Academic Details:

Yonsei University has over 800 classes available in English, in different departments and colleges. Business courses are highest in demand, so there is a cap for the number of courses students may take. Courses taught in Korean are also open to exchange students. Korean Language Institute courses are available as a 6 credit course option. If 6 credit course load is too intense, there is also a 3 credit course available. Placement tests with be assessed when you arrive to the campus.

Housing Details:

Students are encouraged to apply to live on-campus through the two international dormitories, SK Global House and International House. There are different room types to fit separate price points and accommodations. Campus facilities include convenience stores, restaurants, gyms, and laundry rooms. If you would like to live off campus, there are many guest houses near the Sinchon area that are affordable to live in. Boarding Houses, or Hasukjib, are also available for students.

  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
