Overview:
Located in Haidian District, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is one of China’s top universities under the direct administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE). BFSU teaches 101 foreign languages and houses China’s largest non-general language teaching cluster that offers courses in some less commonly taught European, Asian and African languages, as the first of MOE’s special teaching programs. While best known for its excellence in foreign languages and literature, BFSU has also launched programs in fields such as humanities, law, economics, management and education. - Schools that provide courses taught in English: International Business School, School of English and International Studies, School of International Relations and Diplomacy, School of Law.
- Schools that provide courses taught in Chinese: School of Chinese Language and Literature, International Business School, School of International Relations and Diplomacy, School of International Journalism and Communication, School of Law.
Exchange students are required to choose the majority of their courses from one school or faculty, closest to their education background. Exchange students also need to have a sufficient academic background in the disciplines taught at the receiving faculty.
