Overview:
Auckland University of Technology is New Zealand’s second largest and fastest growing university. There are 29,000 students enrolled at AUT across our three teaching campuses located in Auckland, New Zealand’s fastest growing city. It is ranked in the top 2% of universities in the world, ranked 15th in the world for international outlook, and world-ranked in 11 subject areas.
Academic Details:
AUT offers a wide selection for study areas included Art and Design, Business, Communication Studies, Creative Technologies, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Education, Engineering, Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management, Language and Culture, Social Sciences and Psychology (BA), Sport and Recreation, Te Ara Poutama, and Māori development. Spring semester runs from February to June, and Fall semester from July to November. Besides taking the subjects for their study areas, exchange students also have the opportunity to expand their educational experience by taking courses such as Experience Māori culture and Pacific Island Coastal Ecology International Short Course. Housing Details:
Exchange students are guaranteed accommodation at AUT’s on-campus accommodation as long as they are nominated to AUT by a specific date.
From the start of 2025, the only AUT accommodation option available to students in the city will be Te Āhuru Mayoral Drive Student Accommodation. Te Āhuru Mayoral Drive Student Accommodation is a modern and purpose-built facility located across the street from the AUT City Campus. Offering studio-style living, residents at Te Āhuru Mayoral Drive Student Accommodation have their own private bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and study area. Residents also have access to commercial and self-use kitchens and dining facilities, study facilities, and laundry facilities. Additionally, AUT’s Te Āhuru Recreation Centre is located in the same building, offering convenient access to residents to all the recreation centre has to offer.

- 2.5 cumulative GPA
