Research interests
My research applies molecular genetic tools to fundamental questions in ecology and evolution. I am particularly interested in identifying the biological and demographic factors that create spatial population genetic structure, but my students work on a wide range of projects focused on genetic data and how it can be used to understand the evolutionary histories of marine populations and potentially guide conservation.
