Research interests
I am interested in understanding the ways in which local use and management of tropical forests is compatible with biological and biocultural conservation and restoration. My research interests include: plant population ecology, with a focus on understanding the natural and anthropogenic drivers of population persistence or decline; local and indigenous resource management systems, including harvest of non-timber forest products and agroforestry systems; and social-ecological systems resilience.
