Services

ILL Lending to Other Libraries

The ILL section provides loans and document delivery from our library collections to other libraries. Requests are accepted via OCLC (HUH) or Docline (HIUHAU), or through our ILLiad Lending web system. We are a charging library except for libraries with the University of Hawaiʻi System, GWLA or IDS consortia, and MOA libraries.

Libraries Not Using OCLC or Docline

Request an ILLiad Lending Web account by sending an email for more information to lendill@hawaii.edu. After registering, please log onto the UHM Lending Web to place and check on requests. We charge ILL fees for loans and copies.

Individuals

Loans: ILL does not loan to individuals. Consult with your local library about borrowing from our library collections. Note: We charge fees for loans.

  • Hawaiʻi residents: See web page on Guest Borrowers for in-person services
  • Residents not on Oʻahu: use the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System ILL service
  • Outside of Hawaiʻi: contact your local public library.

Copies: Email inquiries to lendill@hawaii.edu. Requests for individuals are handled on a staffing and time-available basis. We charge fees for copying.
