Visiting the Library
Aloha! We welcome visitors to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM) Library. In preparation for your visit, here’s some brief information about the Library.
The general collections in business, humanities, social sciences, and Asia are open to all researchers and scholars, but circulation is limited to UHM faculty, students and staff and others with varying degrees of access – click the link for more information. Scanners are provided free of charge at several locations in the building.
Access to special collections materials is by appointment and may be scheduled through our online form. Most collections have Reading Rooms for research, but the library does not provide office space for visitors. Subscription databases may be accessed at a designated computer, but remote access is restricted to UHM students, faculty, and staff in order to comply with licensing agreements.
Wi-Fi is available to UH students, faculty, and staff via the UHM SSID and their UH credentials. Visitors from participating institutions can gain access through eduroam. Visitors may also be sponsored by UHM faculty/staff for the Visitor Internet Access (VIA) program.
Fee-based visitor parking is available at various locations on campus on a first-come-first-served basis. For more information on visiting the library, please contact library@hawaii.edu or call 808-956-7205.
