Born in 1838 to Kapaʻakea and Keohokālole and raised by Pakī and Konia. Queen Liliʻuokalani was the last monarch of the Hawaiian Kingdom. She lived a life of leadership committed to serve her people. Her legacy is captured in her many writings, which tell the story of her unyielding perseverance to protect the sovereignty of her people. This exhibit is a showcase of those writings and a tribute to the Queen’s legacy.
